Father's Day 2026 - Make Plans with Dad!

For those who celebrate, Father’s Day can be one of the most meaningful yet challenging holidays of the year. Father figures come in many different forms. Some are coaches, some are teachers, and some could even be older siblings that helped watch over you growing up. Regardless of whether it's dad or someone in place of dad, father figures often serve as a steady foundation in our lives, offering guidance, support, humor, and stoic strength. Whether they’re teaching life lessons, lending a helping hand, or cheering from the sidelines, they play a lasting role in who we become.

How do you plan a gift or a day that truly reflects everything they’ve done—especially when they rarely ask for anything in return and rarely share their interests?

To help take some of the pressure off finding the perfect gift, activity, or experience for dad, Klatch Coffee has put together a guide on places to go and things to do for Father’s Day in Southern California for 2026.

  1. If dad enjoys a nice outdoor bike ride, head west to Redondo Beach! The famous Marvin Braude Bike Trail (also nicknamed The Strand) is a paved 22-mile coastal biking path that runs from Will Rogers State Beach to Torrance County Beach. With its proximity to the water, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice ocean breeze and view while biking on solid, smooth ground.

Klatch Coffee Redondo Beach is just half a mile away from the pier, a few miles away from the start of the trail, making it a great first stop to grab some coffee. You’ll need the energy to complete the ride.

Fuel up on caffeine and get pedaling!

  2. For dad who embraces his inner child, the amusement parks in Anaheim are a great option for a full day of fun! Ride every single ride together, meet all your favorite characters, and get competitive for the games that require some work. When you’re done at Disneyland, head across the way to Disneyland California Adventure Park to take on The Incredicoaster.

Make your way to Downtown Disney for dinner, and make sure to stay for the fireworks at the end of the night! This day is jam-packed full of activity, so make sure you stop by Klatch Coffee inside of Sprouts Farmers Market #244 just under four miles away first for some caffeine to keep you fueled.

Coffee, chaos, magic, and memories await!

  3. Maybe dad is into cars, motorcycles, or movies? If so, consider making a trip to Los Angeles to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum and Vault! The museum is open seven days a week, and is host to over 300 of the world's rarest vehicles, motorcycles, and more.

For movie lover dads, the museum currently has an exhibit to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise. See cars from the films, including Dom's car, Brian's car, Suki's car, Han's car, and more! Before you head over, make sure to stop by Klatch Coffee inside of Sprouts Farmers Market #285 less than three miles away to pick up a light snack and coffee.

Cars and coffee—there’s no better pairing!

  4. If you know that dad likes to fish, head over to the Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park for the afternoon! Open from 6am to 8pm, the park has an abundance of activities to partake in, including swimming, picnicking, horseback riding, boating, hiking, and fishing.

Make sure you have your valid California fishing license and abide by the regional park’s rules (fishing is allowed around the lake except off the sand beaches, boat docks, and within 100 feet of any launch ramp. There is a catch limit of five trout, ten catfish, five bass, and 25 sunfish, and all fish must be 12″ or longer to keep), grab a drink and a wrap to sip and savor from Klatch Coffee San Dimas, and enjoy some peace and quiet together.

    Hook, line, and sinker!

  5. Is dad more into watching sports than he is playing sports? Stop by Ontario’s brand new ONT Field to enjoy a baseball game together! Grab a beer inside, watch the friendly rivalry between the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Ontario Tower Buzzers, and enjoy a $2 hot dog for the 1:05 PM game on June 21st. It’s also Dog Day, so bring dad’s best furry friend along!

Prior to heading to the field, make sure you get caffeinated with a coffee from Klatch Coffee inside of Sprouts Farmers Market #440 first—you never know if it’ll be a 9 inning game or a 19 inning game.

This day’s sure to be a home run!

  6. If your dad is bold and adventurous and you want to do something crazy, find a local tattoo shop and get matching tattoos! Whether it’s something that’s meaningful to the both of you or maybe it’s just a fun reminder of a silly story from childhood, nothing says dad like a slightly impulsive, very permanent gift.

Find a local tattoo shop such as Resurrection Tattoo in Duarte or Cryptic Tattoo in Azusa, set an appointment, and get inked—together! It’s best not to drink alcohol before a tattoo since it thins the blood, so stop by Klatch Coffee inside of Sprouts Farmers Market #410 before you head over to grab some food and caffeine to fill your stomach.

Father’s Day is only one day, so get a gift that lasts forever!

Father’s Day doesn’t have to be perfectly planned to be meaningful. In fact, something slightly spontaneous or unplanned might even suit dad’s preference more! For dad, it’s about showing up and making the effort count. Take him somewhere he’s always wanted to go but never had the chance to, share something you enjoy with him to connect on a deeper level, or try something new for both of you to experience side by side. It’s not about a big moment, it’s simply about a moment together.

Whether it’s by gifting dad a bottle of our Aged Whiskey Coffee or stopping by one of our store locations before or after your adventures for the day, Klatch Coffee is honored to be part of your celebration, one cup or one bag at a time.
